Pastor Bruce and Deborah Marthers

Bruce and Deborah have been serving the Lord for over 30 years. While attending Harvest Time Assembly in Lancaster, Bruce was asked if he and his family would be willing to pastor at First Assembly in Camden for a few months, which at the time was struggling without a pastor. Guided by the Spirit, they began their new journey, and he accepted his call to become the full-time pastor in November 2001. Every new person that has walked through the doors of First Assembly has been met with love and care. Pastor Bruce has a passion for the Lost and a heart to see God's people grow to maturity, and they both strive to always be available to anyone in the community that is in need. They are both proud to be a part of the people that make up First Assembly and are excited about the future.

Deborah Marthers

Deborah loves people, especially children. She works with children and encourages them to grow in God, manners, behaviors, and helps prepare them for learning in an environment that is safe and child friendly.

Treasurer | CPA | Charity Coordinator

Angelena Lefler

Angelena became treasurer in 2020 after completing her Master's Degree in Accounting and gaining professional, real world experience, and also became a CPA in 2023. She holds a strong belief that Christians should help those in need as expressed in Matthew 25:37-40.

Adult Discipleship Training

Kenny Hicks

Kenny studies extensively to be able to present the lesson for the week. He also ministers in nursing homes and enjoys witnessing to people when he is in the community.

Frances Robosson (Cricket)

Frances has been a Christian and a member of First Assembly for many years. She has a love for children and looks forward to helping them discover His promises through the lessons she teaches in Sunday School. She has also recently taken up leadership with LIFT, our women's ministry group.

Ashley Allen

Ashley has been at First Assembly since she was a teenager. She is now a wife, mother of 2 boys, and a teacher at a local preschool. She loves God and He has blessed her with a creative mind and she uses that love and talent to teach in Children's Church and Youth classes.

Brennan Lefler

Brennan became a part of First Assembly through another of our team, Angelena, his now wife. He assists her with Children's Church and has also recently taken up teaching Kingdom Kids. He is always there when there is work to be done. When a work day is scheduled, you can bet Brennan will be there to help.

Women's Bible Study

Betty Branham

Betty is instrumental in gathering the ladies for the Ladies Bible Study that gathers every other Thursday. She also works with those in need of the church food pantry.

Groundskeeper | Board Member

Joel Jefferson

Joel is always looking for ways to help around the church. He is on the church board, is an usher, and is a volunteer Groundskeeper. He works hard to make sure the grounds are looking their best, and his hard work and willingness to help is appreciated.

LIFT | Greeter

Lyndell Ivey-Din

Lyndell has been instrumental in fostering relationships within our church and with visitors. She is always ready to greet everyone as they come in and hand out Connection Cards so we can stay in contact with our visitors. She is also an integral part of our Praise Team, and has recently taken up leadership with our women's ministry group, LIFT.
